2011 Tax Receipts
The 2011 tax receipts are now available for pick up in the Church lobby. Thank you to our wonderful volunteers for their valued assistance . If your envelope is missing or you have any questions, please call the office at 604-434-1328.
h3.New School Principal
We would like to extend a warm welcome to our new school principal, Mrs. Irene Wihak. Mrs. Wihak will begin on the 2012-2013 school year following the retirement of Mrs. Cecilia McLaren. We also take this opportunity to thank Mrs. McLaren for her dedication and valuable contributions to our faith community and congratulate her on her retirement.
Extra Evening Masses
During Lent, there will be extra Masses on Fridays at 7:30 pm beginning February 24.
Stations of the Cross

Healing Mass
On Thursday, March 1 at 1:00 pm, we will be having our annual healing Mass followed by a tea reception in the Church hall. Everyone is welcome.
Palms for Ash Wednesday
Please bring in your old palms before Monday, February 20 so we can burn them to use for Ash Wednesday. You may drop them off in boxes provided in the church lobby or the parish office.
Extra Evening Masses

SFDS Building Our Future Committee
The Directory – 246 families had their pictures taken and will be in the Directory! We will keep you updated on the status of the Directory, but it will take several months to produce.
Your Photos – If you had your picture taken and did not order anything else, please pick up you free 8×10 from the parish office.
In Loving Memory Page – There will be an “In Loving Memory” page and you can put a name (or name of a couple) in the Directory for a $20 fee. We will be at the back of the church next week for you to sign up.
Children’s Magician of the Year Competition
Price: $8 per ticketDate: Sunday, February 12, 2012Time: 1:30pm Doors open: 12:45pmVenue: St. Francis de Sales School Gym4 Magicians will perform, the audience will vote on who they think should win the title of Children’s Magician of the year. Winner from last year will perform. There will also be a ventriloquist, food and refreshments. Raffle tickets for great prizes are also available. Tickets are available at the Church entrance before and after the Saturday 5:00 pm Mass and Sunday 9:00 & 11:00 am Masses.
Don’t Miss the Archdiocesan Conference
Take one dynamic Archbishop, mix in one talented Catholic musician, add one passionate speaker from New Orleans…total them up and what have you got? Archdiocesan Conference: One Faith. One Body. One Mission at the Vancouver Convention Centre, February 17 & 18. This year’s line-up has something for everyone: renowned singer-songwriter Matt Maher; the dynamic and humorous Mike Patin speaking on the role of passion in our faith; Fr. Paul Nicholson, a popular speaker who will address the disappearance of men from Western Christianity, and plenty more, including Mass with the Archbishop, a ministry fair and exhibits.
