Religious Articles Shop

Will be open before and after the 5:00 pm Saturday Mass on March 27th as well as Sunday March 28th following the 9:00 am & 11 am Masses. Please come by to see our first Communion Articles and other merchandise.

Oppose Bill C-384

This weekend after Mass the CWL & Pro-Life group will be handing out petition cards opposing Bill C-384 which would legalize euthanasia & assisted suicide. Please take a moment to sign the card for a life saving cause.

Stations of the Cross – Tuesday, March 30th

Next Tuesday, the grade 7 PREP students will be enacting the Stations of the Cross in a Shadow drama. It will begin at 7:30 pm in the school gym. Everyone is welcome to attend.

1000 Hail Mary’s

Feast of the Divine Mercy – Sunday, April 11th

We will have a special Liturgy at 3:00 pm which will include:

  • Blessing of Divine Mercy Images,
  • Exposition
  • Recitation of the Chaplet of Divine Mercy
  • Benediction


Everyone is welcome to join us and to bring your Divine Mercy images for the blessing. Information sheets about the Feast of Divine Mercy and the Novena are available at the entrance of the church.

Internet Safety Workshop

Will be held on on Monday, March 22nd at 7:00 pm in our school gym. Please join us for a very informative evening.  This workshop is for adults only.  For further information, please contact the school at 604-435-5311.

Lenten Reflections

The Catholic Woman’s League invites the SFDS community, men and women, to join them on March 27th for Lenten Reflections with Father T. Smith.  The morning of reflection begins with 9:00 AM Mass followed with coffee break in the parish hall.  Following confessions in the church, Father Smith will join us and share his “Lenten Reflections”.

Advertising in the Bulletin

As a way to cut bulletin printing costs we will be selling ad space on the back page of our bulletin. If you are interested in advertising your business, please contact the parish office for more information. The cost is as low as $125 for a six month run.

Think Fast 2010

This weekend several of our parish youth are participating in Think Fast. A 25 hour fast to raise money for Development & Peace. Please keep them in your prayers; they will also be collecting pledges after Mass.

First Confession

Our grade 2 students preparing for their First Holy Communion will be having their first Confession this Thursday, please keep them in their prayers.

Easter Lilies

If you would like to donate an Easter lily to help decorate to Church, please bring it to the office between Monday, March 29th and Thursday, April 4th. We will have special dedication cards to placed on the bulletin board for those who would like to donate their lily in memory of a loved one.

Life Is Precious -Let Us Stand Up For Life

On Monday March 15th at 7:00 pm – 9:30 pm at St. Francis de Sales in church hall we are having a pro – life meeting, open to all parishioners in our parish and neighboring parishes. We will have videos and testimonies to stimulate a discussion period, in which we hope everyone, will participate. We are also looking for volunteers from our parish to act as greeters. Knights of Columbus

Pennies for Heaven drive starts this weekend of March 6th & 7th. Proceeds will support the seminarian program in BC. The Knights will also be conducting their membership drive. Forms and brochures can be found in the entrance of the church. Feel free to speak to a representative after Mass.

CWL General Meeting


The next monthly meeting is Thursday, March 11th, 7:30 pm in the church hall. All ladies are welcome.

Irish Tea

Celebrate the feast of St. Patrick, Patron Saint of Ireland. The great saint to the Irish – and all those who want to be Irish for a day! Come join us at a delicious Irish tea hosted by the de Sales deaf ministry. Sunday, March 14th following the 9:00 am and 11:00 am Masses in the church hall. Door prizes for all ages including a special prize, a gift basket packed with a Touch of the emerald isle. Tickets are available at the entrance of the church. Adults $5 / Children $2, 3 yrs & younger are free.
