Lenten Penitential Service
On March 30th at 7:00 pm we will be having a Lenten Penitential Service in our parish.
If you are unable to attend please consider attending one of the following:
St. Michaels’s, Burnaby – April 5th Holy Spirit, New Westminster – April 6th
All penitential services begin at 7:00 pm. For a full list of dates and locations please see the poster on the bulletin board.
Stations of the Cross – Tuesday, April 7th
Next Tuesday, the grade 7 PREP students will be enacting the Stations of the Cross in a shadow drama. It will begin at 7:30 pm in the church. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Extra Evening Masses
During Lent, there will be extra Masses on Fridays at 7:30 pm.
Easter Lilies
If you would like to donate an Easter lily to help decorate to Church, please bring it to the office between Monday, April 6th and Thursday, April 8th. We will have special dedication cards to placed on the bulletin board for those who would like to donate their lily in memory of a loved one.
Decorating for Easter
We will need volunteers to help decorate for Easter on Holy Saturday, April 11th at 11:00 am.

Fridays at 7:00 pm during Lent. Please feel welcome to join us as we meditate on the Lord’s Passion.

During Lent, there will be extra Masses on Fridays at 7:30 pm.
Alms Giving
One of the three pillars of Lent. There are many areas where our alms can do much good; Development and Peace, Homeless Shelter, Agape Street Ministries to name a few. One more area that needs our attention is the Catholic education of our children. Please consider giving some of your alms to help some of our struggling parents with tuition and supplies. Please call the parish office for more information.

Easter Vigil – Volunteer Opportunity
Volunteers are needed to put on the reception following the Easter Vigil on Saturday, April 11th. This includes picking up the food, setting up the church hall, serving and cleaning up afterwards. If you are an STM student needing hours this is a good opportunity to fill them. Please call the parish office if you can help.
Volunteers Needed
We are in need of more volunteers to help with Project Advance. Volunteer sign up forms are available at the entrance of the church. There will be a volunteer training session in the church hall on April 30th at 7:30 pm.

Pancake Breakfast
Please join us this weekend after the 9:00 am & 11:00 am Masses for the famous Knights of Columbus pancake breakfast.
Vehicle Break-Ins
Two weeks ago we were notified by parishioners about two vehicles being broken into during 9:00 am Mass, please remember not to leave valuables in your vehicle so we can deter more of these crimes from happening. If we all stay vigilant and report any suspicious behavior it will help keep our neighborhood safe and happy.

Knights of Columbus Marion Prayer Hour for Our Lady of Charity
A prayer service in honor of Our Lady of Charity will be held here on Monday, March 9th at 7:00 pm. The Icon of Our Lady of Charity will be on display from March 4th to 11th in our parish. Since September the Knights of Columbus have been spreading the devotion of Our Lady of Charity of El Cobre, Cuba for the intentions of Pope Benedict XVI. Since 1979, the Order has sponsored Marion Hour of prayer programs devoted to Mary under various titles: an estimated 12 million people have attended more than 70,000 K of C prayer services. To find out more about the devotion to our Lady of Charity please pick up a handout at the entrance of the Church.

ThinkFast
Youth Ministry is holding its 9th annual “ThinkFast” for Development & Peace on Saturday, March 21st & Sunday morning, March 22nd. Grades 8 and up are invited to spend the weekend fasting and learning about the poor and issues in impoverished countries as well as having fun and making new friends. Information and registration forms are on the bulletin board at the back of the church. We are looking for young adults to act as chaperones and team leaders.
