Upcoming Events at St. Francis de Sales - First Sunday of Advent - November 29
Light Up For Christ
This Tuesday, December 1st everyone is invited to the Knights of Columbus annual “Light up for Christ.” Children, their parents and all members of the parish will gather to bless the tree on top of the church and sing carols for Advent. We will meet in the church for a short prayer service at 7:45 and then Father will lead us outside to bless the tree, after which St. Nicholas will appear with his companions to give treats to the children. We will be serving hot chocolate and cookies in the gym. Donations of non-perishable food for the Christmas Hampers would be appreciated.
Pub Night
Saint Francis de Sales Pub Night is December 5th at 7:00 pm in the school gym. Buy your tickets after Mass on November 14th, 15th, 21st, 22nd, 28th & 29th. Enjoy pub style games, socializing and a Texas Hold’Em Poker Tournament. Early bird prices for parishioners until November 22nd: Pub Night ticket – $15 and poker tournament – $60.
CWL Christmas Dinner
The annual CWL Christmas party will be held on Thursday, December 10th. Tickets will be sold at the breakfast and at all Masses December 5th & 6th, the cost is $12. All woman are welcome to attend.
Jr. Youth Christmas Party
Friday, December 11th Grades 5 – 8 are invited to our Jr. Youth Christmas party in the church basement from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. There will be a finger food potluck, Christmas skits, games, fun and fellowship. Please donate a non – perishable food item if you come to the party and as well, a plate or group serving of finger foods. Some ideas are: pizza pockets, cheese & crackers, veggie platter, and juice and Sprite/7 Up to make punch. Please let Mylene know in advance what you’ll be bringing for the finger food potluck so she can make arrangements to get more of what may be lacking. If you have any questions, please call Mylene at the church office.
Advent Penitential Service
The Advent Penitential Service at St. Francis de Sales parish will be held on Friday, December 18th at 7:00 pm. All are welcome.
Youth Ministry Bottle Drive
Weekend of January 2 – 3, 2010! Please save your bottles after Christmas and New Year’s festivities for Youth Ministry! We’ll be collecting bottles to help fundraise for Youth Ministry after all Masses for that weekend. If you would like to help, please contact Mylene at the parish office. More details to come soon.
